Omawumi moves into N100million Lekki home





Top Nigerian singer, Omawumi Megbele has completed and moved into her Mansion at Lekki Phase 1, around Tantalizers area, Victoria Island, Lagos.



The single mother of one in a quick chat with Encomium, revealed that she spent over N100million on the home and that she completed it all by herself.
The Delta State born singer who recently acquired a brand new 2012 ML 350 Mercedes worth about N12.5million, further said:



    “The industry has been good to me. If I must tell you the truth, apart from some bad belle people, who are bent on bringing you down, there are people there to make you strong. I have had opportunities of making good friends in the industry.”


Omawumi who is signed on to mouth-watering endorsement deals like top Nigeria's telecommunication, Glo, Mortein, Guinness, Konga as an ambassador is considered to be the highest paid female artiste in Nigeria as she now smiles to the bank regularly, all in the name of her doggedness, hard work and consistency in her career and music” the magazine reports.

Last week, Omawumi joined the campaign for agriculture to be among the 19 African artistes invited with one of the continent’s biggest musical collaborations ever, entitled, Cocoa Na Chocolate.



Omawumi, a Law graduate from Ambrose Alli University, came to limelight following a spectacular performance at the 2007 edition of the West African Idols, a reality TV show, where she emerged runner-up. The following year, she won the Hip-Hop World Next Rated.

Aside what she's popularly known for, the singer also has some acting talent as she has featured in movies like V-Monolugues, Olurombi, Inale, a Hollywood/Nollywood Bongos-Ikwe production,  Return of Jenifa, House of Gold.
